no を使った英文

not が「〜でない」を表すのに対して、no は「決して〜でない」「〜どころではない」という強い否定語です。

・no (+形容詞)+名詞
例：This is no easy job for you.
「これはきみにとってかなり難しい仕事だ。」

・no sooner 〜 than …
例：No sooner had I left home than it began to rain.
「家を出るやいなや雨が降り始めた。」

・There is no 〜ing
例：There is no accounting for tastes.
「蓼食う虫も好き好き。」

・It is no use 〜ing
例：It is no use trying to persuade him.
「彼を説得しようとしてみても無駄だ。」

・in no time
例：She will be here in no time.
「彼女はすぐに来るでしょう。」

・no doubt
例：He loves her, no doubt, but he will not marry her.
「確かに彼は彼女を愛してはいるが、結婚はしないだろう。」

・no longer 〜
例：The law is no longer effective.
「その法律はもう無効である。」

・to no avail
例：He tried, but to no avail.
「彼は努力したが無駄だった。」
